Opening of the exhibition Rainbow Boulevard: 1200 Years of Hidden History. The exhibition presents new work by artists Logn Draumland, Viktoría Guðnadóttir og Hrafnkell Sigurðsson.
The works are based on themes from The Rainbow Thread a queer guide through the national museum’s main exhibition Making of a Nation. The works take on the existence of queer people in Iceland from the settlement period until today and build on themes derived from the Rainbow Tread.
The pieces are intended to give insight into the experiences and emotions of queer people in front of powerful institutions that guilt trip and shame queer people.
