Our parade gets bigger and more fabulous every year but we still want every group to convey some message that addresses the realities of LGBTQ people. There are an infinite number of possible messages so participants’ creativity is key. To ensure your group is the best it can be it is recommended to start preparing early. A good show does not have to cost much, what is most important is imagination and getting help from friends and family.
Reykjavik Pride Parade will take place on Saturday 6 August 2022.
The parade will follow the same route as 2019. The set-up for the parade is at Tækniskólinn next to Hallgrímskirkja church. The parade marches down Skólavörðustígur, Lækjargata, Fríkirkjuvegur and Sóleyjargata where the parade concludes by Hljómskálagarður. After the march Reykjavik Pride invites all to an outdoor concert in Hljómskálagarður.

The Pride Parade fund
Every year a number of individuals and groups get financial support to participate in the Reykjavik Pride Parade through the Pride Parade Fund, a collaboration between Reykjavik Pride and Landsbankinn bank.
The Reykjavik Pride Parade Committee is appointed by Reykjavik Pride’s Board of Directors. The parade committee can be reached via email@example.com.
