The EU Delegation to Iceland alongside the Embassies of France, Finland, Germany, and Sweden, are funding accessibility measures on the day of the Pride Parade, including a wheelchair ramp and sign language interpretation, for all those who need it. During Reykjavík Pride, all LGBTIQ+ people and supporters should be able to enjoy the Pride festivities, so for the past five years, the EU Delegation has provided financial support to Reykjavík Pride’s accessibility measures to ensure inclusivity during the festival.
“Inclusion and accessibility matters to us. That is why again this year, the European Union and our Member States are providing financial support to Pride accessibility measures to make sure the event can be enjoyed by as many as possible.” – Lucie Samcová-Hall Allen, EU Ambassador.
