ON THAT QUEER NOTE

FRESTAÐ / POSTPONED

Many of the world’s leading composers have been queer, and this concert celebrates their fascinating and varied achievements. The programme includes works by Tchaikovsky, Poulenc, Britten, Barber, and Sondheim, as well as the French baroque composer Jean-Baptiste Lully and the rarely performed English composer Ethel Smyth.

The performers are among Iceland’s leading classical musicians, including Sigrún Eðvaldsdóttir(violin), Eyjólfur Eyjólfsson (tenor), Hallveig Rúnarsdóttir (soprano), and the pianist Árni Heimir Ingólfsson.
An entertaining evening for all who enjoy good music.
The concert lasts about an hour without intermission.

Please note that the concert pieces will be introduced in Icelandic.
