The Reykjavík Queer Choir is giving a concert in the Norðurljós Recital Hall of the Harpa Concert Hall on Wednesday, August 14, at 20:00, along with the visiting choir Rock Creek Singers.
The concert is part of the Reykjavík Pride official program. The choir will perform a variety of songs that all resonate especially with the queer community, either because of their subject matter or their composers.
The conductor of the Reykjavík Queer Choir is Helga Margrét Marzellíusardóttir and pianist is Halldór Smárason. The visiting choir Rock Creek Singers is part of the enormous Gay Men‘s Chorus of Washington, D.C. Their conductor is Dr. Thea Kano.
