Paradise Garage is held in tribute to the great queer club music spaces of the late last century. Venues such as Paradise Garage and The Loft in New York served as important queer music spaces during the 70s and 80s where the DJs there revolutionized how records were made and heard. They are now widely considered the birthplace of modern dance music culture.
We’ll set up our own Paradise Garage on the top floor at Loft Hostel, a bright and open space where some of Iceland’s top disco DJ’s will play all the best music from the heyday of these legendary NYC clubs.
Paradise Garage is a fundraising event for Reykjavik Pride.
