The Annual General Meeting of Hinsegin dagar í Reykjavík – Reykjavik Pride will be held on Monday, November 17, 2025. The meeting will take place at the offices of Samtökin ’78, located at Suðurgata 3, and will being at 5:30 PM.
Agenda and Membership
The agenda includes the usual items for an annual general meeting, in accordance with the organization’s bylaws, i.e.:
- Election of meeting moderator and secretary
- Report from the board
- Presentation and approval of the audited financial statements for the previous fiscal year
- Presentation of the budget for the new fiscal year
- Determination of membership fees
- Amendments to the organization’s bylaws
- Election of the board, cf. article 4.1, and election of one financial auditor for a one-year term
- Other matters
Only members who have paid their membership fee have the right to attend and vote at the meeting. It will be possible to become a member or renew membership at the start of the meeting.
Candidacy for the Board and Auditor
According to the organization’s bylaws, board members are elected for two-year terms. Elections for board positions are held alternately, meaning that typically four positions are up for election one year and three the next.
This time, elections will be held for the following positions:
- Chairperson, for two years
- Two board members, for two years
Eligibility for election to the board is governed by section 3.2 of the organization’s bylaws.
Candidacies must be submitted in writing three days before the annual meeting. Interested individuals should therefore send their nominations to pride@hinsegindagar.is by 5:30 PM on Friday, November 14. Candidates must specify which position they are applying for.

The meeting will also elect an auditor for the organization’s financial accounts. All members are eligible and may declare their candidacy for this position at the meeting.
Amendments to the Organization’s Bylaws
Proposal for amendments to the Reykjavik Pride bylaws had to be submitted to the board by October 15. No proposals for amendments were received.
