Reykjavík Pride is a festival supported by the tireless work of energetic volunteers, who perform invaluable work in favor of the LGBTQ+ community and their visibility. However, the festival is not free – and thus, the partners of Reykjavík Pride play a key role in ensuring a diverse program, promoting safety and accessibility of the event, and creating a platform for the LGBTQ+ community and their supporters to come together and continue the fight.

The unicorn
Since 2017, Reykjavík Pride has been one of the city festivals of the City of Reykjavík. This designation is an important recognition of a festival that volunteers have been building since 1999. The title also comes with financial support, making the City of Reykjavík the largest single supporter of the festival – and thus, our unicorn!
Glitter
Glitter are our backers. These are companies or organizations that want to actively support the LGBTQ+ community, but also focus on how they can do better for their employees, service users, and the general public when it comes to LGBTQ+ issues and equality. We are very grateful for our glitter team – without them, the festival wouldn’t be what it is!
