Every year, a wide range of performers take the stage at Reykjavík Pride. Some are artists who apply to perform at the festival, while others are invited directly by the Reykjavík Pride team.
Artists who wish to perform at the festival must apply by submitting the required information to the Pride Board well in advance.
Reykjavík Pride is a celebration by and for the queer community. Performers who are part of the queer community, or who include queer individuals in their group, are more likely to be selected to perform at the festival. However, this is not a strict requirement, as the queer community has many friends and allies who have supported the festival over the years. Reykjavík Pride reserves the right to reject any applications to perform. Each year, the number of applicants far exceeds the number of available performance slots in the program.
