To celebrate 20 years of Pride in Reykjavik the power-duo StopWaitGo released a brand new version of the all time classic “I Am What I Am”, performed by our young and talented Aaron Ísak.
The song, composed by the openly gay Jerry Herman, was first performed by George Hearn in the Broadway musical La Cage aux Folles in 1983. Icelandic lyrics by Veturliðni Guðnason were introduced by Hafsteinn Þórólfsson in 2003 and later recorded by Páll Óskar Hjálmtýsson.
