EU and Member States Ramp Up Pride Participation

The European Union Delegation, along with the embassies of France, Finland, Ireland, Sweden, and Germany, will jointly fund wheelchair ramp access for all those who need it on the day of the Pride Parade. During Reykjavík Pride, all queer people and their loved ones should be able to take part in the celebrations, and for that reason, the EU Delegation has provided Reykjavík Pride with financial support for the past five years to ensure improved accessibility during the festival.

“We care about inclusion and accessibility. That’s why the European Union and its member states will once again provide Reykjavík Pride with funding to ensure wheelchair access so that as many people as possible can fully enjoy the festival,” said Clara Ganslandt, EU Ambassador to Iceland.
